• No training in art is necessary
• No art skills are required

Training Details

This is a new advanced workshop for therapists looking to understand, apply, and incorporate the power of the expressive arts into their therapeutic tool kit. The expressive arts takes people deeply subcortical and accesses their unconscious and implicit memories, in a language that comes through mark making, shapes, colours, and texture; that open up new doorways to accessing unknown and perhaps misunderstood traumatic experiences and challenges in our lives, including how they have played out. 

Over the three days we will delve into:

• Introduction into the history and role of the expressive arts in supporting a person's healing;
• The three phased trauma informed approach to working with our clients. Each phase will be addressed with resources to understanding the neurobiology of trauma and how to unlock our client's stuckness in hyper or hypo arousal States. The resources that will be introduced are somatic-based (neurophysiological) approaches to cultivate and grow capacity for our clients;
• Several experiential and expressive arts based 'journeys' that you will undertake as individuals to experience the depth of introducing the expressive arts into your practice, including a a journey into dreams;
• Dyad practicums where you will explore the expressive arts, how we will create the BSP Frame and work with all the principles of Attunement, W.A.I.T, Tail of the Comet, and Uncertainty;
• Discover the power of INTUITIVE BRAINSPOTS

Expect to develop your intuition, delve deeply into the unknown as we work with the expressive arts and the uncertainty of the emerging metaphors that our clients will discover and the new narratives and trauma processing that may come forward.

Cancellation Policies & Guidelines

Life happens - we get it - and we need to change our plans. In the event that you need to cancel your training, we have a cancellation and refund policy in place to ensure fair treatment for all parties involved.

We will provide you with a full refund less a cancellation fee of AUD$75 (this fee covers our administrative and operational costs associated with the original booking ) if you cancel 8 weeks prior to the start date of the training.

Any cancellations within the three week start date of the training, we will provide you with a credit that you can use towards another BSP training that the HUB offers and you will have one year to take it up from the date of the cancellation.
